Rustic tapas bar at the crossroads below Casa Baaij. Shirt-sleeved ambience in a large hall with wooden tables and long tapas bar. Meeting place for locals and visitors to the port. Occasionally there are football matches on the TV above the entrance door. It can get noisy then. Also suitable for a communal parlour game at the table if you want to leave the flat for a moment.

A bottle of the house wine costs only slightly more than in the supermarket and is a good companion for the evening. The patatas bravas and jamon crudo on pan tomato are great. Marieta and Vincent do their best to spread a pleasant Spanish-style atmosphere.

Voramar
Tapas bar in the same building below Casa Baaij. Small bar in the house, which seems relatively cold and uncomfortable. A larger dining area on the opposite side of the street under a tent and a few street seats invite you to drink white wine in the sun. Tapas and 3-course menus are also served there. Also suitable if you only want to leave the flat for a short aperitivo.

La Moderna
La Moderna also serves tapas, like most Spanish bars, yet it has more of a classic, drinks-focused feel. It’s already busy during the day, as it has some very nicely situated outdoor seating at the bottom of a small park area. A recommendable fish restaurant in the medium price category. Pleasant atmosphere both inside and outside. Due to the air conditioning, you should have enough to wear even in warm weather, as it can be quite frosty inside even in high summer.

Even though Marieta is called “Taperia”, we would rather classify the multi-storey gastronomy in the area of restaurants. Beautifully situated opposite Casa Baaij on the park, Marieta offers an outdoor terrace on the upper floor with a view over the harbour as well as outdoor seating. Here, too, the focus is more on fish specialities. Price range normal to medium. A pleasant, well-kept feel-good atmosphere.
